These sessions will be held in Class 9 with Miss McCormack. Miss McCormack will encourage the children to use a variety of materials to produce their art pieces and we will exhibit some of these during Arts Week.
DRAMA CLUB
These sessions will be held in the Hall with a qualified, DBS-checked teacher from Betty Wivell Academy. Children will be taught elements of drama and acting.
FIZZ POP SCIENCE
These sessions will be held in Class 7 with a qualified, DBS-checked teacher from Fizz Pop Science. The sessions are designed to inspire children towards gaining an interest in the Sciences, with fun experiments and projects to bring Science to life.
How can parents/carers apply for a space?
Places for the After School Activities are allocated prior to the start of each half-term. Letters are published on the school website and electronic forms are sent out to each year group by email with the options available to request. Parents/ carers should return their request slip by the deadline specified in the letter. If you require a hard copy of the form please collect one from the school office.
How are the clubs allocated?
Once all requests have been received, 15 children will be selected at random to take part in the clubs. In the interest of fairness, we will be randomly selecting children from a group who have not yet had a chance to take part in an after-school activity club this academic year. In the event that the club is not full, we will then randomly select from children who have previously attended. Parents/ Carers will be notified by email or text if their child has a place at a club, and will be able to pay for the club on ParentPay.
